Hand Wrist & Forearm Strength Tool
Handmaster Plus
The Handmaster Plus HHS (Hand Health System) is becoming the modern standard for hand, wrist and forearm strengthening.
Strength and balance improves performance and reduces the risk of injury in sports, music and in the workplace.
- Tendonitis
- Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
- Osteoporosis
- Osteoarthritis
- Tennis Elbow
- And more!
‘Let’s begin to TRULY understand hand muscles. They directly affect the function of the fingers, thumb, hand, wrist, carpal tunnel, forearm & elbow.4
9 muscles CLOSE the hand.
9 muscles OPEN the hand.
Handmaster Plus trains & balances all 18. It’s that simple.
Proper, complete hand exercise not only leads to your best stability & performance but also stimulates blood flow & lymph duct drainage for better mental & physical health.
Soft is perfect for rehab or to get started. Medium is great for activities where hand and finger strength are important. Use firm for advanced strengthening.
Proper hand exercise is vital for health & performance.‘ – Dr. Terry Zachary
Handmaster Plus Is… A complete, convenient hand, thumb & finger exerciser
A grip strengthener that properly addresses the kinetic chain of grip
A powerful & easy-to-use exercise therapy & rehabilitation device
A key ergonomic & lymph drainage exercise
Hand Grip Strengtheners Must Be Diverse
Maximum hand & grip strength is dependent on 2 factors:
1) the strength and stability of the ‘grip-action’ muscles (the HAND CLOSING MUSCLES – i.e. the finger flexors & adductor muscles, located on the front of the hand, wrist & elbow) and,
2) the strength and stability of the ‘grip-stabilizer’ muscle chain (the HAND OPENING MUSCLES – i.e. the finger extensors & abductor muscles, located on the back of the hand, wrist & elbow). To maximize grip strength, the 9 muscles that ‘open’ the hand MUST BE strengthened and balanced with the 9 muscles that ‘close’ the hand.
Modern studies on grip strengtheners clearly illustrate that the ‘hand-opening muscles’ (grip stabilizers) act to ‘stabilize’ the ‘hand-closing muscles’ (grip action muscles) during all grip related activities. This is new technology that only we have researched to this degree. If you are neglecting to train the hand opening muscles (extensors & abductors) directly, you are limiting strength, stability and performance at the fingers, thumb, hand, wrist, carpal tunnel, forearm and elbow. Traditional grip strengthening equipment ignores the finger extensors.Comparison of Hand Strengtheners (pdf) (click here)Handmaster Plus strengthens the 18 hand muscles (9 grip action muscles PLUS 9 grip stabilizer muscles) using one convenient continuous, easy-to-understand exercise.
No need for multiple hand exercises or grip strengthening devices. Handmaster Plus combines 4 exercises into 1. No wasted effort. No segmented routines. No confusion.-Used by athletic trainers, strength & conditioning coaches and athletes in all major North American sports (football, baseball, basketball, hockey) as well as in all grip-related sports (golf, tennis, volleyball, gymnastics, rugby, cricket, motor sports, extreme sports, MMA).
-Used by health care, fitness and ergonomic professionals worldwide for therapy & rehabilitation.
-Used by musicians and music teachers worldwide.
‘It amazes me that serious grip strength training programs neglect the basic principles of the kinetic chain involved in grip. Hand opening muscles support the action of the hand closing muscles. Simple. It is a co-contraction. If not, the hand would fall limp when gripping any item. Handmaster Plus completes any grip strength program.’
